There was an early start for Newborns supporters Nguyen Van Long and Andy Taylor as they tackled extreme elevations at the Son Tra Adventure Run (Da Nang) on Sunday 18th of June, to raise funds for Newborns Vietnam and their work at the Da Nang Hospital for Women & Children, and the Vietnam National Children’s Hospital, Hanoi.
Congratulations to Long who ran an exceptionally well measured and spirited race, finishing with a fantastic time of 1:23:20, good for 9th position overall.
Prior to the race, Newborns athletes were given a very warm reception by the event’s organisers, which buoyed Andy into an ill-advised quick start. Despite suffering thereafter, he held on valiantly to finish a respectable 45th.
