Post Qualification Training For Junior Doctors

In Febraury 2015 we launched our post qualification training for junior doctors. During the neonatal nurse training the Da Nang Hospital for Women & Children identified gaps in the training for junior doctors working in the neonatal unit. In the UK much of a junior doctors post medical school training comesfrom working under supervision with constant feedback and discussion aroundbabies. The development of Guidelines can help but the application requires expertise to interpret the baby’s needs and adherence to them needs supervision and discussion to help education and training.

To support the development of the junior doctors a structured teaching programme has been adapted from the UK Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health’s Level 1 and Level 2 curriculum and is evidence and competency based.
