Premier Oil plc is delighted to sponsor the Newborns Vietnam’s Cycle a Difference – Vietnam Challenge Ride 2013, an 850 mile cycle ride across Vietnam. The ride is raising funds for a neonatal nurse training programme in Vietnam where currently there is no specialist neonatal nurse training.

In addition to sponsoring the event, Premier is delighted that two members of its senior staff, one from its London office and one from its Ho Chi Minh City office, are participating in the Cycle a Difference – Vietnam Challenge Ride 2013 to make Learning for Life, a certificate in neonatal nursing, a reality.

Premier is a UK headquartered independent international oil and gas exploration and production company with interests in the North Sea, South East Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Pakistan and the Falkland Islands. The company aims to support social investment that contributes to the sustainable development goals of the communities and countries in which it operates.

Premier’s social investment is increasingly focused on the development of local capacity and educational initiatives that deliver social and economic returns for both local communities and host governments. In Vietnam our work has included the provision of enhanced health care programmes as well as the organisation of educational development classes.
