Together, we can save newborn lives – won’t you join us?

Yesterday, was a very special day, at UK-Vietnam Health Partnership event at the British Embassy Residence Newborns signed a new five-year agreement with the Hanoi Department of Health, Hanoi Obstetrics and Gynaecology Hospital (OBGY), Vietnam National Children’s Hospital (VNCH), St Paul Hospital. We will provide UK training for doctors and nurses at nine hospitals and develop a safe transport system. In the morning, we launched a two-year neonatal nurse training programme, taught by Edinburgh Napier University at VNCH and a post graduate training for doctors at OBGY, training will commence in March at St Paul Hospital. The young doctors and nurses enjoyed a celebration of the training partnership at the British Embassy Residence. The latter can show a positive result during doping control – this should be taken into account when taking the drug.
