Together, we can save newborn lives – will you join us?

Support Us

The Director, Dr Tran Ngoc Hai, opened the fourth Newborn Life Support (NLS) course at Tu Du Hospital and warmly welcomed back the UK faculty and candidates from Can Tho and Binh Duong. This is first course that Tu Du doctors and nurses who successfully completed the Generic Instructor Teacher Training Course will teach on as NLS instructor candidates. This is the first step towards a Vietnamese faculty of instructors who can teach without UK support.

The Director launched the Newborns Vietnam, SSVN, Tu Du Hospital NLS scholarship scheme to ensure that candidates from the province hospitals can participate in this life saving training. He welcomed and sincerely thanked Mr Joshua Williams, Chief Representative, John Swire and Sons for supporting the sponsorship of the scholarships for the candidates on the March NLS course. Mr Williams was all smiles as he presented the certificates and expressed that as new father he truly appreciated the importance of newborn resuscitation and was happy John Swire and Sons had been able to play its part to support such a good cause in Vietnam.
