Together, we can save newborn lives – will you join us?

Support Us

KMS and Newborns resuscitation instructors in HCMC celebrating our five-year partnership with KMS Solutions and the first Newborn Life Support (NLS) resuscitation training course at Tu Du hospital. The UK/European NLS course was formally approved by the Ministry of Health in 2022 as the single programme to be taught in Vietnam.

Doctors are on the front line delivering NLS training supported by KMS Solutions, the importance of database technology in healthcare cannot be overstated. The KMS team are building a data system to keep track of the NLS training outcomes for health professionals from 58 provinces, when they need to re training, their progress as instructors and the hundreds of new graduate entrants every year is a huge task.

Thanks to KMS for this amazing donation, it is truly the infrastructure for a brighter future for millions of babies in Vietnam. Birth Asphyxia (failure to breath at birth) is a major contributor to neonatal mortality worldwide. It is a leading cause of death, brain damage, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, seizures, and cerebral palsy. Babies that survive often face lifelong health problems. It places huge financial and emotional burdens on the families, communities and society.

The UK/European NLS course was formally approved by the Ministry of Health in 2022 as the single programme to be taught in Vietnam. Newborns is training sufficient Vietnamese doctors, nurses and midwives as NLS as certified instructors, so that this internationally recognised training can be provided without overseas support.
