From a single hospital to 171. From the first Ironman 70.3 Vietnam to thousands of athletes from over 60 countries. From a bold vision to a growing national movement.
VNG/DMF and Newborns Vietnam. Ten years of unwavering partnership, purpose, and belief in a shared dream: that no baby’s life should be left to chance. Our deepest gratitude to VNG and the Dream Maker Foundation for your steadfast sponsorship and for standing beside us on this extraordinary journey. You have helped turn an ambitious idea into a life-saving mission.
Ironman is more than a race, it’s a mindset. It’s discipline, determination, and the belief that nothing is impossible. It’s the courage to begin, the strength to endure, and the will to finish. That same spirit fuels Newborns’ work: on the long, demanding road to end preventable newborn deaths in Vietnam. Years ago, when our finish line felt impossibly far away, Mr Le Hong Minh offered our director a few simple but powerful words: “Never give up. If you didn’t succeed, you need to try harder.” Those words have guided her ever since.
The VNG spirit of Embracing Challenges lies at the heart of our mission: to build a nation of lifesavers, where every doctor, nurse, and midwife has the skills to give every baby the best start in life.
