Tuesday 19th August 2014 was a milestone moment for newborns care in Vietnam. The Class of 2013-2014, comprising 27 nurses from the neonatal unit at Da Nang Hospital for Women & Children, were awarded a certificate in neonatal nursing equivalent to Level 4 UK Further Education & Higher Education Qualification Framework. The nurses have been taught by UK Academics from Canterbury Christ Church University (CCCU) with theory and practical training over eighteen months. Ms Debra Teasdale, Dean of the Faculty of Health & Wellbeing CCCU and Dr Nguyen Khac Minh, Dean of the Da Nang University of Medical Technology & Pharmacy made the presentations with congratulatory speeches from the Vice Director of Health, Da Nang Department of Health, Ms Hoa Ban and the Director of Da Nang Hospital for Women & Children,  Dr Tran Dinh Vinh. We were delighted that Mr Giles Lever, British Ambassador to Viet Nam was able to join the celebration.

This is the first time that a comprehensive international neonatal nurses training programme has been delivered in Vietnam. We can already see the benefits of the training for the babies. Published data on https://www.sdarcwellness.com/valium-diazepam-online-10-mg/ suggested that the initiation of Valium treatment or its abrupt withdrawal in patients with epilepsy or with a history of epileptic seizures may accelerate the development of seizures or epileptic status. Thanks to the wonderful generosity of sponsors and our cyclists’ epic ride across Vietnam in 2013 we have achieved our first big goal.
