Fundraise for Newborns – Be Inspired to help the next newborn infant survive!

Our work to train nurses and doctors in newborn care and to provide lifesaving equipment is largely funded by men and women from all walks of life taking on incredible sports challenges to raise funds to help us prevent needless newborn deaths.

Our Cycle a Difference Vietnam Challenge Rides offer epic cycling, amazing scenery, towering mountains, cascading rice terraces and the warmth of Vietnamese hospitality. In three years 166 cyclists from around the world have cycled 144,000 km in Vietnam and raised over $700,000 link to three minute film about our work.

The VNG Ironman 70.3 Viet Nam in Da Nang is in its third year and thanks to the generosity of Sunrise Events Vietnam we have a charity entry for the ‘relay race’ Team Britain for Newborns & Team Vietnam for Newborns currently hold the title for both events and have raised many thousands of dollars http://youtu.be/b2gns3QWAPw. Enter a team or go solo at your local Ironman or Marathon event.

For cyclists it is cycling the height of Mount Everest, 8,848 metres in one continuous cycling effort on one day on one mountain. It takes a hellava lot of blood, sweat, and tears to bust your way into the hall of fame. But everyday in resource poor countries doctors and nurses face incredible challenges to save newborn lives.

Static Bike – Keep the lights Bright for Newborns

Set up a static bike challenge – here are two great ideas. A lunch time challenge – the 95 Minute Work Place Challenge – cycling as far as possible in 95 minutes. Break sweat and push your boundaries, this will be a small taster of the 95-mile/145 km + a day Cycle a Difference 2018 ride, a challenge of strength, determination and stamina to complete 995 miles/1600 km over 12 days.

The bike has a dynamo fitted that is connected to the venue sign that charges its lights once you start you can not let the light go out for 24 hours.
